Game of the Month: Far Cry 6

Take on the role of guerrilla warrior Dani Rojas, a resident of the fictional island of Yara, who, along with friends, is trying to overthrow the corrupt regime that rules the island.

The regime is controlled by the dictator Antón, voiced by Giancarlo Esposito, recognizable from The Mandalorian and Breaking Bad. He spares no effort to retain his power which he one day wants to hand over to his son Diego.

After surviving a clash with the regime's forces, Dani decides to overthrow Antón and his regime. To help you, you have crazier weapons than in any other Far Cry game and many new friends. How about looting around the island with a crocodile friend and a dachshund puppy?

The playing surface is larger than in any other Far Cry game and the weapons are both more numerous and have greater variety than before. You can also buy many new vehicles and custom-build them as you wish. This is a game that you can play by yourself, or even better, with your friends, over the internet.

Far Cry 6 has new companions 

In its predecessor Far Cry 5, the battlefield was the American countryside. Here we attacked cult members with companions like the dog Boomer, the bear Cheeseburger and the cougar Peaches by our side.

With Far Cry 6, we get completely new companions who help us along the way. Amongst other things, the little dachshund puppy Chorizo who lacks back paws and instead uses prosthetic wheels. We can also take the help of the slightly more terrifying crocodile Guapo.

Where Chorizo is friendly and an excellent distraction when you want to get past guards unnoticed, Guapo is distracting on a slightly different level. We guess you won’t go unnoticed with a crocodile by your side.

Bigger focus on building your own vehicles and weapons

Far Cry 6 has a significantly greater vehicles variation than the previous games. In addition to a larger range of vehicle types, we can finally build them with more accessories and personalise them, as with a rocket launcher on the roof, or flames shooting out of the exhaust pipe.

The weapons in Far Cry 6 can also be designed to make them more personal. Use objects that you find in the game world and create your own, completely crazy weapons. Do you own too many CDs of bad music? Build a weapon that shoots CDs. Don’t like sardines? Shoot sardine jars at the enemy!

And if you are tired of running or steering around with a worn-out car, you can ride a jetpack instead. Yes, you read that right, the Far Cry series has got jetpacks. Can you imagine how much chaos you can create if you have one of those on your back?
