Here we’ll list the popular gadgets that rarely go down in price, are difficult to get hold of, or have gone up significantly in price recently. Make sure you place alerts on your favourites before Black Friday and Black Week.
1. The Nintendo Switch game console
Nintendo Switch is the game console that constantly has a place on our top ten list amongst the most popular gadgets on PriceSpy. It’s also a game console that is famous for rarely going down in price.
After the launch of the new Switch OLED, we believe the older model from 2019 will drop in price during Black Friday, which gives you the chance to save a bit of extra money.
2. Graphics Cards from Nvidia and AMD
Buying a really good graphics card for your gaming computer costs many hundreds of euros. After the component crisis in 2021, when prices soared and it was practically impossible to find a graphics card in stock, today is a golden opportunity for enthusiasts.
Graphics card prices have decreased significantly since 2021, and availability in stores is high. The chance of finding your favorite card at a good price is high, and during Black Friday, we hope for even better prices on graphics cards.
3. Playstation 5 console
Whispers suggest that Sony plans to release a new gaming console sometime in 2024. But don't let that stop you from looking for good prices on existing Playstation 5 consoles.
Sony has kept the PS5 updated with many updates since its launch in November 2020, and there are plenty of fantastic games tailored for the gaming console today.
Black Friday is a perfect opportunity to check out the latest prices and see if the gaming console has decreased in price.
4. Apple iPhone Series
When the iPhone 15 series is unveiled, stores will want to clear their existing stock of older models – and then the chance is high that you can make really good deals on iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 models.
Our numbers show that the average price reduction for mobile phones during Black Friday is close to 20 percent, compared to 14 days earlier. If you're planning to switch phones soon, it might be worth waiting for the sale day before making a decision.
5. Smart home gadgets
It does cost a fair amount if you want to upgrade your home with smart home gadgets. For example, if you want the slightly better and smarter WiFi routers, it’ll cost you several hundred pounds (if you want the newest on the market).
We predict that smart screens such as Google News Hub, security cameras and smart speakers will drop in price during Black Friday.
Our price history shows that smart home categories are noticeably cheaper during Black Week compared to 30 days earlier. So make sure to create price alerts on the items you are interested in, well in advance of this year's biggest sales period.
6. Apple AirPods headphones
If you have an iPhone, you might also want really good headphones for your mobile phone. It's best to get AirPods because they're tightly integrated with iOS, but other Bluetooth models work too.
AirPods models usually don't go down in price much throughout the year, but on Black Friday, the chance is bigger than any other day for you to get a really good deal. A tip is to also check out Beats headphones as they work excellently with iOS.
