    SHOCKING! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SHOP…

    If you decide to purchase from this shop you can forget about the warranty because they will not assist you in any way - you will be welcomed by angry staff who will try to make you leave the shop without any help. Also because of their presentation, I would not trust the description of the item on the internet. This kind of dishonest people that runs that shop would easily lie just to sell anything….

    I wish I read some of the reviews before going to this shop. There were extremely pleasant when I bought the phone for almost $300. The phone was restarting continuously so I went next day to ask for some help to make it work. This time, the staff responded with raised voice, intimidating behavior and accusation that I probably destroyed the phone by myself (like dropped it several times, spilled some liquid or else). This was less than 24 hrs of original purchase and I am the person who use screen protector and casing from day one, so all my phones look new, even after couple years. So I decided to use another company to fix this problem, which was by the way, very simple and took 5 min. If anything goes wrong in the next 12 months, I will have to deal with a problem by myself and make official complaint to the consumer protection NZ about this firm.

    I am struggling to remember when I last suffered such sustained, systemic, incompetence. After placing an order, it took them FOUR attempts to even send me the correct Track and Trace URL, and then when there were courier difficulties, a series of conflicting and poorly communicated messages from various staff members made finding the item impossible.

    To discover that they had actually sent me the wrong item and and had then given CourierPost advice that was directly contrary to what they had told me was the last straw. Given the unbelievable mess they made of handling a simple, straightforward order, I am not sanguine about receiving my requested refund any time soon. AVOID!

    Good communication and prompt delivery. The condition of the product appeared to be brand new, but the box in which it arrived had some minor damage to it. They obviously have to open the box prior to sending it out to the customer, but this makes it difficult to present as a gift (the phone was purchased as a mother's day gift).

    No real complaints though, would buy from them again based on this one experience.

    Worst customer service i have ever experienced. There was a clear unnatural gap in-between phone screen and backing which when presented to the staff the day after the phone was purchased they said it was self inflicted and was no way it could have been assembled by manufacturer like this. This is a total lie, have since been in contact with them numerous times for no reply. Can not get anywhere with them when you approach them in retail outlet. There is no way anyone should consider trading/purchasing from hitech/rockys mobile. they are crooks and have no regard for trading standards.

    This would undoubtedly be the worse customer experience I have ever experienced. I would strongly suggest not trading with these people. Problems after problems with no sympathy or understanding. Every step of trying to resolve issues was met with resistance and a lack of motivation to help.

    I ordered a Samsung Galaxy SII. The phone arrived promptly and looks and works like new. However, the seal on the box had already been broken - Hitech placed one of their own stickers over this, but it did not hide this fact. The phone was set to the Spanish language, and had some Spanish language apps and some Vodafone apps already installed. I emailed them to ask about this, as I wanted them to have a chance to explain rather than just place negative feedback - but after over 3 weeks no-one has bothered to reply. I am happy with the phone, but am not entirely convinced it was "brand new" and I think they should have had the courtesy to contact me back.

    hitech mobiles supplied me with a phone that was just what I wanted - I have had no problems with it and it has exceeded my expectations. Their pricing was very competitive as well, and the phone arrived exactly when they said it would. Their service was great too - nothing went wrong.Thanks

    i went to this store to just buy a simcard i thought it would be simple, one guy was behind the counter trying to sell this old nokia to this older woman, after 10 mins of waiting another guy came out from behind the steel door and was on the phone for 5 mins, i continued to wait, when the first guy gave the woman a break i asked about the simcard and he said yes i wanted to buy it now and he said, i will serve you after her, the second guy finished with the phone and wasnt much help, then a woman came out from behind the steel door and i was finally served, she said eftpos isnt working but was told it was, so i eventually got the 2 degrees simcard for $5, what a waste of time, if i knew i had to wait that long then i would of paid $10

    its better to get items shipped as these guys are poor at customer service, last time i go to rockys after all these years.

  • First come first serve is our policy. At times if we are busy our customer just wait for their turn. if you read review carefully this person sound like we should leave everybody else and serve him first.

    WARNING! I ordered an iPhone 5 which I was told would be sent the next day, however they took 3 days to send it out, despite having it in stock. When it arrived I noticed the package was opened and that the phone DID NOT WORK! I sent the phone back requesting a refund or replacement however they sent it back to their supplier to get it checked out first. They said the iPhone 5 64GB was not compatible with 2 Degrees network which I find very hard to believe! After multiple phone calls and emails I received a partial refund, and after further emails and 2.5 weeks had passed I eventually recieved the balance of a refund from them. I am out of pocket for the new SIM I had to buy for the failed phone, another SIM to revert back to my old iPhone, and the postage costs involved in sending the phone back. More than the money I lost, it caused a lot of anxiety and stress receiving a FAULTY phone which was supposedly brand new, not to mention the multitude of emails and phone calls I had to make to extract my refund. Fortunately I paid by credit card (not internet banking) so had leverage to get my refund paid back to me. I have now paid slightly more for a BRAND NEW iPhone from an Authorised reseller and it works perfectly and I am happy. Would never ever ever use this store again, no matter if it is cheaper than other stores! BE CAREFUL dealing with this store.

  • Phone was in brand new sealed box. that was network problem thats why it did't worked. We issue full refund in 2 transactions because of the amount. Phone did't work and full refund was issued.

    I just ordered & received a Nokia Lumia 710 from HiTech. Retail stores $349 on sale but HiTech had it for $285 including postage. After they received my bank transfer overnight they shipped next day and I received it the following day. Very quick & efficient. Phone is running fine, no issues. First time I've used these guys. Highly recommend!
