Had a SB Live earlier, no direct sound difference between them but much better than the parent cards built. Checkout drivers from Creative. Works great in XP and Vista, but there are no drivers for Ubuntu Linux! + Good performance in games (XP / Vista) + Good Sound - No drivers for Ubuntu Linux

Wondering oxå what people are up to. Purchased the card when it arrived and had XP then, worked without problems and were sound great any time. Worked just as well in Vista x64 when it arrived and also in win 7 x64.

So I do not know what you are doing. Have had this card for several years and it gives really good sound. Works perfectly in xp, vista and win 7 32/64 bit.

Are you going to run one of the creatives x-fikort with vista may count on an hour-wheat because creative has still not managed to drop the functioning drivers. I had to completely remove drivsen to my built-in sound card to install creatives drivers. Once I got into drivsen it took me about 5-6 hours to discover that there is a memory leak in them. If you have on your computer for more than 5 hours with active use (music + games) then you turn on your computer, not yet crash. Believe that the memory leak is only a problem if you have 4gb or more memory. Have talked to buddies who are running with less and they have not had the same problem as me and another buddy running 4gb. Will still 3 stars to the sound is good when it is not malfunctioning but consider instead get asus sound card to avoid similar problems! [UPDATE] The panic was due to IRQ conflict and now they happen only in connection with that I run Ventrilo. Want a real sound card so avoid creatives budget cards anyway.

Anyone who thinks this graphics card sucks do not know how to use it .. I'm using windows7 with the latest drivers. you have to install it, and then blocka motherboard's own sound card, then uninstall you by going into the device manager, then find windows 7 the late ster drivers. then charging you only home console on their website, everything works PERFECT! Ever that do not work in windows 7 is 'play what you hear' but many do not know how it works anyway. sound card is jädrigt good once you get it work
