Good when it works. Unfortunately, it said stop after approx. 10 plates. It would not make itself felt in the windows, and just stood crooked. Sent in return on warranty. updated: Finally, it turns out that it needs proper power supply on one cable, 2x PC-USB is not enough. I connected one USB to my Apple charger. Now it works as it should. So Apple was there for this ASUS product to work.

Very quiet. Reads the Blu-ray well. I'm happy to read damaged DVDs that my DVD reader can not handle. Has a smart space-saving rack (the plastic pad underneath it loosens easily) so that it can stand steady on the high side; However, the underside's bad labels are displayed. Suffice for me with a USB plug for power.

Small and compact. Has been used for a few weeks now. Just tested DVD and Blu-ray, not tested regular CD. Suppose it can handle 6X in read speed on Blu-ray. This is something I did not get into. Have spent about 3X in both MakeMKV and BDInfo. Comes with a USB cable that splits into two USB Type A connectors that connect to the computer. Not checked, but may be that one delivers data and the other stream. Uses the cable that came with my "Samsung SE-208GB", which delivers both data and power on the same cable. One of the previous reviews described that he had trouble getting it to work under Windows 10. Has not had any problems with this.

Edit 2015-11-17 7/10 Have now solved the problem with Windows 10 does not find the device. Hello again, now I finally solved the problem. Apparently want Windows to run the unit with the help of "initio combo device class". As long as this is in Device Manager, you will find Windows does not drive like CD-ROMs (which it goes over even though it is a bd). What I did was right click on the "initio combo device class", select Properties, and then run Uninstall and tick the'd uninstall the program. Then I took the USB cable from the unit and plug it in, and VIPPS found the Windows 10 drive and installed it as a CDROM. Now works as usual. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-hardware/optic-drive-no-longer-recognized-in-windows-81/01e34faa-2c25-48a6-a24e-9a0c404a02b2 http://forums.evga.com/External-Bluray-Drive-Not-Detected-by-the-System-m2044772.aspx 2015-11-16: 1/10 A big fat warning of this product if you are using Windows 10. This is because in the current situation are drivers for any windows version. During the Windows 10 drive not recognized at all. So I have bought a product that now is not working. ASUS Scylla to Microsoft and that the drive is plug-and-play, or refers to non-official drivers of the third-party site, seriously. I will demand my money back for this product. Little knixigt to close trayn sometimes, but otherwise nothing to complain about, do it properly. Taped min with double sided tape on the bottom of the device on the desk so it was easier to close the door.
