This is Singles’ Day
Singles’ Day is a shopping phenomenon that originated among young people in China. It's a shopping day full of TV shows featuring world-class stars, all dedicated to this day. Singles’ day has now become bigger than both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Chinese e-commerce giant, the Alibaba Group, is the major driving force behind Singles’ Day. In 2019, the participating shops had more than 200,000 different brands, of which 22,000 brands came from 78 different countries. In total, they sold for $ 38.4 billion in 24 hours on Singles’ Day 2019.
By comparison, Black Friday in the United States reached only about $ 7.4 billion in 2019.
Sales during Singles’ Day in China increased by 26 per cent in 2019 compared to the previous year. By comparison, Black Friday in the US increased by 48 per cent in sales in 2019, compared with 2018. How large the increase is in 2020 remains to be seen on the 27th November.

1. Price compare before you buy
Deals are often not as good as they seem. Price compare with PriceSpy, either in your web browser or in the mobile app, and you’ll instantly see if it’s a good deal or not.
2. Check the price history
Our price history reveals how often prices are raised and lowered by shops. It helps you to see if any shop is secretly raising their prices before a promotional period, and if you should take advantage of that time-limited offer or wait for the next price reduction.
3. Create price alerts
By creating price alerts you don’t have to check for price reductions manually. Create a price alert on a product on PriceSpy and we’ll notify you when the shops lower their prices or when a product is in stock again. You can receive messages via email and in the mobile app.
