Auckland Camera

Recently purchased a couple items from their shop after seeing they had the best price. Friendly staff in person and on the phone (unlikely other camera and gadget shop I’ve to in NZ).

Friendly - expert understanding of what they sell and probably the keenest pricing of any dedicated retailer providing locally supported warranties. The kind of place you really don't mind a small premium for the extra service. Will be back for sure.

Found them a bit frustrating to deal with through lockdown. I bought a camera, which was not shipped, with no explaination offered. In retrospect it was due to covid, but at the time I was worrying about my missing camera. I would have appreciated an email telling me what to expect. When the camera arrived there as an issue with the charging mechanism. The vendors were very helpful and hopefully it will soon be resolved.

Refreshing to buy my camera and lens from a shop with staff who knew what they were selling. Miles ahead of the other shops in the area.

We purchased a Tameron 70-200mm lens off Auckland Camera, the shop was fast and professional in getting us the product, turned up well packaged and within a few days. Sounds simple but just glad to see a good NZ shop doing the job well. I don't mind paying 10 % more than some dodgy drop ship shop that carries's no stock and you have to wait 3 weeks to get your product if you're lucky. Auckland camera the real deal with genuine NZ warranty.

Have bought a few thousand dollars worth of cameras lenses etc, GH4 for my grandaughter with all the videographers extras, XT1 and two of the best lenses for me about 9 months ago. Staff are excellent, knew their stuff and were very helpful. Paid all by Visa over the phone from Thames - couldn't have been easier.

Great customer service, price was slightly higher than elsewhere, but the service/knowledge/advice was well worth the few dollars extra. In fact I ended up spending twice what I planned to, as I purchased extra in store as the advice and tips were so helpful. Shows that a physical store still wins for service and advice, the slight price difference was negligible when compared to the added help provided by the sales people.

Top class company to deal with. Awesome communications and helpful. Would totally recommend them for anyone looking for camera gear. !
