    Bad points
Unimpressive anti-shake features; poor placementof lens and flash could make for obscured images

  • Pentax Optio WS80

    Design: 7/10
    Features: 7/10
    Ease-of-use: 8/10
    Image quality: 6/10
    Value for money: 8/10

    Conclusion
The Pentax Optio WS80 is essentially a cut-down version of the more expensive W80 model, losing the freeze and drop proof capabilities of the latter and also its wide-angle lens in order to hit a more aggressive price-point.

    Image Quality: 5/10
    Value: 8/10

The WS80 is a relatively low cost camera that is built to survive an active lifestyle. It is easy to use, extremely light and compact, and the excellent AF system works well in low light. Image quality could be better, but at least it will survive to take a photo in situations where other similarly-priced cameras cannot.

  • Cheep and cheerful is the best description I can come up with for this waterproof camera. I found it struggled with picture quality in a number of areas. Plus points are easy of use and a bright looking design.
