Small and fast, takes most formats, cheap but feels solid despite the smallness and lightness. Recommended!

Bought this to transfer files from an M2 card, and under the photo there is of course a port for M2/microSD. Just discovered that it is no longer correct - support for M2 has been removed. The door is a little bit lower so the M2 does not go in, and now it just says MicroSD on it. No idea when this change was introduced, but it is made in 2013. The card format here on-hunting was allegedly supported was also greatly exaggerated - this reader only supports nearly half of those formats. I've done an update of properties to reflect this, and hope it will emerge shortly, so that no more than I get duped.

Short and rigid kabem but otherwise a wonderful little readers who are additionally UHS-I compliant. Fast when connected to USB3 really limited only by card inserted in a while, is recommended.

Had problems with reading fast CF card over USB3 with this. Tested reader in two machines and it was the same error on both. Contacted both the manufacturer of the CF card and Transcend support, and after much back and forth I found out yourself what was the error. It was USB3 drivers on an Asus UX31E notebook and Asus P8Z68-V PRO motherboard which meant I did not get taken advantage of full USB3 speed. Asus USB3 controllers of the notebook and motherboard are from different manufacturers ASMEDIA and Fresco Logic. Asus has drivers available on their support pages but these do not work. I finally found a newer driver for ASMEDIA controller on another site (station-drivers.com) which solved the problem of reading from CF card via USB3.

Works flawlessly! USB3 cable is very stiff, especially in relation to how easy the memory card reader is, but it is what it is. Very affordable.

Small and simple. Win 8 has absolutely no problem recognizing the drive, and then reading from SDHC cards. Little notice that the cord is very short, so buy an extended at once.

Transcend Multi-Card Reader F8 is small, stylish and compact memory card reader. I like it because it is so small as it is. Using it to my posting computers, portable notebook and tablet PCs. Just remember that you should have on hand a USB micro adapter for tablet. Also note that this memory card reader is small and easy thing. The stability is bad at it, but it is flexible, I have solved this problem with some bit Velcro straps. It should be connected to the USB 3, then it is only the memory card which limit its speed. The package includes 1 x USB 3 cable. It reads all the most popular memory card format: micro SD (without adapter), SDHC, SDXC, CF, (on back reads it) MS Pro / XC and MS Duo. It works great in all my computers and tablets. The price is nothing to discuss about, 130 SEK with postage of CDON! I give this product 10/10 star review for quality, flexibility, functionality and price!

Have tried with SDHC and SDXC cards and it does what it should, come up to approx. 45 MB / sec with SanDisk 128GB SDXC cards which it might not do with USB2. Less about with all similar products is that it is light, a lead weight or fixed taping needed if you do not want to use both hands to insert and remove the card.

Transcend Multi-Card Reader F8 is small and stylish. I have tested the SD and microSD and it works flawlessly to read them. Have not tested with USB 3.0 port, only USB 2.0.
