Recently bought this product. Works well, for example, much better sound in the speaker when talking to the device than for example my Arlo Q and good picture. Nice with the battery, so you can move it around the property.
Two things can be done better.
1) It says it should have Wi-Fi with AC633 Mbit / s, but I only get up to 72/72 Mbit / s. Arlo Baby is three meters away from my Asus Rt-AC87, so good conditions.
Created a support case at Netgear, so we'll see what they're saying. Maybe I have HW or firmware wrong with my Arlo Baby ..?
Received response, but finds it unfortunate when it is in the specification 633 Mbit / s:
"The Arlo baby camera is modified to max at that amount, because it is not necessary to have more than that speed. It can connect to 802.11.ac standard 5GHz without any problem."
2) In addition to normal notifications that these cameras usually have, this device can send audio to mobile devices. Much better function than a sms-like notification, which I would never wake up at night. :) Unfortunately, it sends sound all the time, which tends to drain the battery even in an iPad over a night. Why can not they send audio, like push, so first when the unit notes over the set noise and motion ?! (It's usually even cheaper babysitters.) It's very easy to encode such a feature as most of it already exists functionally.
