Dante's Inferno is a nice action game based on the biblical theme of heaven and hell. With hints of "puzzle" and problem solving, the game is fairly linear, but there are regular moments when to jump between platforms, throw in lianas, climb walls, avoid traps and jump past obstacles like fire and spikes. It reminds largely on titles like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Prince of Persia series.
Just returned from the Holy Crusades in The Promised Land becomes Dante witness to how his wife Beatrice pays the ultimate price for Dante's sins and sentenced to an eternity in hell. Dante believes, however, have had their sins forgiven by the bishop and goes to hell in pursuit of his beloved Beatrice, who he believes has gone to hell in the wrong grounds. Armed with his scythe, his holy cross, a set of magic spells and especially his faith reveals Dante way through hordes of hell minions and monsters of all kinds to make things right.
The game has a very good control, good graphics and a great atmosphere. Biblical themes we do not see very often, and it's interesting to get some "facts" about how it works and the batteries are down there on the "ground floor".
The game is non stop action all the time with big boss fights, souls to collect, items that will help Dante on his journey, etc.
It is a relatively simple and short games, not more than 10 hours of gameplay depending on skill and difficulty.
Are you looking for a bit of thought loosely clearing with elements of a puzzle or two, Dante's Inferno a game to recommend.
