Went to the HiFi Club and would buy Sonos. Primarily a sound bar to replace the stereo when the TV. Had seen the Sonos with friends and been impressed by the subtlety of having background music throughout the house.
Became convinced that instead buy Heos then they do everything Sonos does and at the same time is a bit easier especially with Spotify integration.
App in the phone is simple and smooth. All radio stations can be set via TuneIn. It is easy to select the music source you want to listen to the version / speaker.
Have read almost everything written about Heos and wanted to test myself if it was true that there was 2st Heos first
After having had them for 3 weeks, I can only say; Wow! What a sound!
The base is cruel to be like small speakers, you can not play deafeningly loud but clear enough to function in everyday life.
If you want to play higher should you buy one of the larger models.
The reason it does not get full marks is that I've had some bad luck with the quality of the speakers. The first I unpacked lagged the sound on, and generally behaved strangely, I had to restart by pulling out the plug and plug the igen.Efter few hours began flashing purple (a color that is not described in the manual). Luckily I had bought two so I quickly realized that it was the wrong one.
Called HiFi Club who said I would come in with it and they replaced it outright. Very nicely handled.
Now works both as a bell, sync between the speakers is perfect.
But I think that a part can surely be discouraged if you buy a product and it is behaving strangely, at best, leave it back and get a new otherwise maybe you saw whole concept and it would be a shame because this is really good stuff.
A further reflection is that it is important to have good WiFi networks.
Will surely buy more Heos speakers!
