Hitman 3 is the third and last game in the World of Assassination trilogy. A worthy end to the popular and critically acclaimed reboot of the series.

All three games in the series are so-called stealth games where the player travels the world as an assassin on the hunt for important targets that need to be taken out.

Sneak your way to your targets, finish your mission and get out without alerting anyone. There are many ways to play the Hitman games, and that is what makes it so popular amongst the players. Be discrete, or be as messy as you can, what you do is completely up to you.

The first game in the trilogy was released in 2016 and took players to cities like Paris, Marrakesh, and Bangkok. In the second game, the events took place in well-known places like Bombay, Miami, and New York. And in Hitman 3, players are hunting their targets in warm Dubai, a chilly Dartmoor in England, and in Chongqing, China.

Hitman 3 has better-looking graphics, improved gameplay, and new tools for Agent 47 to use on his missions. The levels are detailed and give the player more room to plan and assassinate the targets than ever.

Unlock new challenges when re-playing the game

There are five ways to assassinate your targets in Hitman 3. Each way is a challenge you can complete in the game, but you don’t need to restart the levels to do them. Simply reload a saved file to a point in the game before your target dies and you are good to go.

When lockpicking doesn’t work – use a crowbar

The quiet way to get past locked doors is to lockpick them. When that doesn't work, use a crowbar instead. Sure, you can attract the attention of guards and you look more suspicious. Luckily, crowbars not only open doors but also put interested guards to sleep very quickly.

Use coins to distract enemies

You can find coins that are great for distracting enemies or lure them closer to you. If you throw the coin close to a group of guards, one of them will go to investigate, even if the coin landed on the grass. Perfect when you want to sneak past or take out guards silently one by one.

Unlock shortcuts and ladders

When you move across the maps, you will find doors and ladders that can be unlocked to open shortcuts. Make sure to unlock them all whenever you find them, it will save you a lot of time on your next playthroughs.

Reflections using ray tracing in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Ray tracing on PC and Xbox Series X/S – but not from the start

Players using a PC or Xbox Series X/S will get a future update to Hitman 3 with ray tracing support.

Ray tracing is a technique to show realistic light effects, reflections, and shadows. The effect can be extremely effective when used correctly, but not without a cost.

The performance usually takes a huge toll when ray tracing is activated. Especially when playing on 4K or higher.

Ray tracing support is confirmed on PC and Xbox Series X/S, but not Playstation 5. We will update the article when more information on Sonys console is available.
