My PC crapped itself the other week, looks like a dead mobo. While I look for a second hand replacement I'm also going to buy a new PSU, as I suspect my ancient one could have been to blame, and it's time for a new one.

Budget is low, so probably sub-$80. Needs to be able to power an HD 7970. So far eyeing up Enermax NAXN ENP500AST 500w for its bargain price, and Silverstone Strider essential ST50F ESB 500w.

Any recs?

If you can manage it, I'd probably stretch to https://pricespy.co....t.php?p=4251515 (Corsair CX550) If not, I'd suggest https://pricespy.co....t.php?p=4626037 (Corsair VS550) or maybe the Silverstone one you suggest.

Cheers, went with the Corsair VS550, because it was under $80 shipped on sale, in stock with "partners".

EDIT: Sold through PLAYTECH
