I noticed yesterday that the online store BecexTech has been greyed/removed out on all the gear that I was looking at, mainly Cameras and lenses. I've bought from them a lot of times mainly because their prices are so good compared to other stores and nothing has gone wrong.

So just wondering if anyone knows why they've been left out on a lot of products on PriceSpy.

They haven't been "left out" at all. They're simply no longer a "featured store". There's a few possible reasons for that, but most likely is because of them choosing to no longer be so.

oh right, thanks for the info! Yeah their prices are still available but you just cant click the link to item anymore even though its still available in the online store.

I was also skeptical since their rating is 3/10 and that half their reviews are under investigation :/

However I feel like Ill still be buying stuff from them anyway ><

Going by the reviews, I think you have been more lucky than to have had great service from them. :-)

It is possible that their featured status was revoked because of their poor reviews with a lot more hidden, but I don't think it is likely – however I don't actually know.

I mostly agree, although I will note a few things:

  1. Many of the problems that reviews mention are issues with getting faulty or second-hand products, generally phones. Some products are more prone to this than others.
  2. Another big issue in the reviews is with the fact that they're based overseas, and many items are sent from China.
  3. The biggest issue for any store is how faulty products are handled. And they do very badly here going by the reviews, but it is only relevant if something needs repairing.
  4. Another issue is communication.

If you're buying something that doesn't fail on point 1, and you don't have an issue with point 2, then you'll probably have a reasonable experience as points 3 and 4 won't come into it.

Good job being diplomatic and sitting on the fence, Linux. I personally don't have to be objective about them at all, and have no problem saying that I would never consider buying anything from them.

Well, I personally won't buy from them either – or anyone else with a dubious reputation for that matter, as I prefer spending a little more and knowing things will go well. But there can be reasons other than just "lucky" why someone might have things go OK.

Hi Gino_Cheng1212

Sam here from BXT. I noticed that you bought 2 items from us in 2016 and 2017. I do thank you for your trust and continued support :)

In a nutshell, due to disagreement over the terms, and some other reasons, we have decided to rescind our "featured" status indefinitely or until we resolve the issue. Our senior supervisor, Handy will occasionally attend this thread if needed to reach out some buyers. Of course, we are still around and 100% online.

In fact, we will be channeling our excess marketing budget to another marketing channel, SEO, improving customer service, etc

As always, you can reach us out at info@becextech.co.nz or via our helpdesk http://support.becex...nz/helpdesk.htm

All the best

p.s: Our rating was 8.22 (dated 7-9-2017)

Cheers
Sam

Obvious photoshop is obvious.

Image has:

Review count at 271, currently it is 131.

Reviews in the last few days, currently is has no reviews in the last three months.

Reviews that no longer exist.

Or maybe the last 3 months of thier reviews have been removed?

Besides that, an inflated rating like that is utterly useless. If reviews have been removed, they've been removed for good reason – which makes the new rating more correct.

Yeah the review page speaks for itself, I'd stay well clear.
