Looking at installing a home security camera system. Questions I have are is anyone able to recommend a setup. I am looking at 4 outdoor cameras. I want them to record 24/7 seems easier.

I am looking at spending around $400. I have done research but none of the cameras I have looked at provides any actual camera footage. It needs be mim of 720p and is bright enough, as I have seen some low quality.

Trademe has quite a lot of I don’t know what the quality will be on those that’s why I don’t want to buy and they are unbranded. Also, look at Amazon, which have some good ones.

Thanks

It'll take a lot of space to store a few day's worth of video. Do you already have suitable storage, or do you need that as well? If as well, is that part of the budget?

Well I have seen the basic setup with 4 cameras with 500gb hard drive and upgradeable. Doesn't need to be 24/7 recording. Just find it hard to find actual footage of the camera quality which is one of my main problem.

I'm afraid I can't help much with that. If you can't find anything with a quick Google, I suggest you ask wherever you're thinking of buying from if they can provide you with some example footage from the model(s) you're considering.
