Announced in 2011, the Nikon D5100 is slightly smaller than the D5000 and is the first Nikon DSLR camera with built-in High Dynamic Range HDR mode. It has a 16.2-megapixel Nikon DX format CMOS sensor, Nikon EXPEED 2 image/video processor and D-Movie mode with autofocus up to 1080p at 24, 25 or 30 and 720p at 25 or 30 frames per second. Other key features are a side-articulated 3.0 inch, 920,000 dots LCD monitor, 11 auto focus points, IS0 100-6400 range and filters for different effects both in video and still mode.
